Michael Marcotte

With deep knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes in live television and how to effectively tell stories through media, Mike works with clients to creatively shape media pitches and content for digital and social media, while also providing expert advice on engaging reporters and online influencers to drive coverage. He complements that creativity with meticulous event planning skills that support engaging and seamless experiences for clients and their audiences.

Prior to joining Goff Public, Mike was an accomplished television producer and content creator with nearly 15 years of experience working in local news. He guided several hours of daily programming that blended news reporting and client-driven informational and entertainment content, providing effective and timely media strategies for program sponsors.

His understanding of the importance of purposeful communication has guided his career. With experience executing complex activations for broadcast television, Mike has built strong skills in project management and event production. He’s also showcased his storytelling abilities in front of the camera, building a following as a content creator and influencer and serving as a media spokesperson and source in many news stories. From his work with nonprofits and his time adjudicating for GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, Mike has also broadened his copywriting, social media and campaign leadership abilities.

Mike and his partner, Cody, enjoy live theater and are always planning their next vacation. They also keep busy with Cody’s two kids who are thriving with gymnastics, soccer, basketball and a house full of LEGO projects.
