Top Minnesota communications strategist Sara Swenson has become a principal of Goff Public, a premier full-service communications firm headquartered in St. Paul. Swenson, a vice president of public relations, has worked at Goff Public since 2009. She will join five other principals at Goff Public: Chairman Chris Georgacas, President/CEO Jennifer Hellman, CFO/COO Heidi Larson, Vice President of Public Relations Chris Duffy, and Vice President of Government Relations Elizabeth Emerson.

“Sara is smart, strategic, trustworthy, and one of our top performers. Our clients trust her to give high stakes advice with their reputations on the line,” said Hellman. “She is a big part of our company’s success. We are thrilled that she is joining our team of shareholders.”

Swenson has spent her professional career at Goff Public, starting as an entry-level writer and growing her responsibilities rapidly over the years. She manages the agency’s growing community engagement practice and has vast experience working with state, tribal and local governments, nonprofits and higher education institutions. She has led public relations and community engagement strategies during the planning and construction of some of the region’s most well-known local institutions and high-profile projects – including CHS Field, Rice Creek Commons, RiversEdge and Catholic Charities’ Dorothy Day Place. She serves on the Neighborhood House and Minnesota Children’s Museum boards of directors.

“Goff Public continues to be at the forefront of an ever-changing public relations industry,” said Swenson. “I look forward to continuing to work with our clients to authentically share their stories and engage meaningfully with the community while helping lead the company’s continued growth.”
