Elizabeth Emerson, a widely respected public affairs strategist and lobbyist, has become a principal of Goff Public, the communications and public affairs firm where she has led government relations and public affairs work since 2012. As principal, Emerson is an employee shareholder alongside four other company principals: Chairman Chris Georgacas, President/CEO Jennifer Hellman, CFO/COO Heidi Larson and Vice President of Public Relations Chris Duffy.
“Elizabeth is strategic, smart and highly connected. She is a key part of our success at Goff Public,” said Jennifer Hellman, president/CEO. “She has done an incredible job developing and elevating our lobbying and public affairs practices, which sets Goff Public apart in the Minnesota marketplace.”
Emerson has a track record of success advocating for high-profile issues across the political spectrum. From groundbreaking legislation to provide compensation for the wrongfully imprisoned and unprecedented capital investments for mental health facilities to tackling complex energy, liquor, commerce, and gaming regulatory issues, her experience spans a vast range of government agencies and committee jurisdictions.
“It’s an exciting time to help our clients navigate the world of public affairs – helping demystify and engage in the political process to create change drives me every day. As principal, I’m looking forward to helping lead the strategic direction of our company to be the best at what we do – helping clients find success at the intersection of politics and public relations,” Emerson said.
