Tim Hunt

Tim tells compelling stories that build lasting, meaningful relationships for our clients. Whether it was his time in public service or leading communication strategy in the private sector, Tim has proven experience developing public relations strategies that cut through the noise. Locally or globally, Tim believes in connecting businesses and organizations to their community.

Before joining Goff Public, Tim led digital strategy and community outreach for a police department. Using his background in communications and media combined with three years of experience as a police officer, Tim cultivated relationships with community members and coordinated departmental campaigns. Prior to his public safety experience, Tim began his career working as a recruiter, leading hiring communications efforts for one of the largest courier companies in Minnesota.

Passionate about community engagement, Tim holds certificates from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in planning, techniques and foundations. Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Bethel University and an advanced academic certificate in law enforcement. He is set to graduate with a master’s degree in strategic communication management from Concordia University – St. Paul in the spring of 2023.

Originally from Hillsboro, Mississippi (population: 1,000), Tim now lives in the south Twin Cities suburbs with his wife, two-year-old son and pup. Tim is a self-proclaimed expert documentary watcher and prides himself on having watched over 100 documentaries. If you are ever interested in getting a recommendation, Tim is your person.
