Areas of Expertise: Public Relations

Sophia is called to create with a purpose.

Sophia joins Goff Public through our spring internship program during her final semester at the University of St. Thomas, where she is completing her degree in strategic business and communications. She supports our public relations team with writing, researching and media tasks for Goff Public’s internal and client needs while learning more about the agency.

During her time at the University of St. Thomas, Sophia didn’t just study business — she helped shape the campus community around it. She founded Black Students in Business to create a space for Black professionals and students to connect and collaborate, partnered with the Admissions Office to bring the school’s story to life through social media, and served as vice president of marketing for the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Along the way, she gained hands-on experience through internships and roles with organizations like the Minnesota Vikings and Northwestern Mutual, blending creativity, strategy and leadership at every step.

When not in school, Sophia has operated a photography business since 2020, working primarily in the wedding industry. Sophia also loves to dance — a passion that has always followed her. In 2023, she co-founded a dance ministry called Dancing for the Divine to bridge her faith and love for dance. Sophia is also involved with her local church that allows her to serve and be involved in the community through service. The eldest of six kids, Sophia loves family time and a good meal.
