Minnesota has third-worst student-school counselor ratio

Minnesota has one school counselor for every 792 students – the third worst ratio in the country. Despite the high demand for school counseling services, counselors are often first to be cut out of tight budgets.This month MinnPost¬†reported on the Minnesota School Counselors Association’s effort to secure state funding for more school counselors.
