Minnesota has third-worst student-school counselor ratio

Minnesota has one school counselor for every 792 students – the third worst ratio in the country. Despite the high demand for school counseling services, counselors are often first to be cut out of tight budgets.This month MinnPost reported on the Minnesota School Counselors Association’s effort to secure state funding for more school counselors.
