Business reporter turned communications pro Cali Owings joined the Goff Public team earlier this month as a public relations account executive. Cali comes to us from a Fortune 500 real estate company where she managed media relations, internal communications, and social media. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota’s Hubbard School of Journalism and covered higher education, real estate development, transit, and urban planning as a professional journalist. Cali is a new Saint Paulite and self-identified “cat lady.”

Goff Public, a leading communications agency, is seeking a full-time legislative assistant/account executive for its dynamic, growth-oriented government relations practice.

Applicants must be ready to contribute to a fast-paced agency and provide the highest-quality client service. Grants give healthy smiles to those supported by Hammer Residences

Gabe received help for a healthy smile from Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation.A $30,000 grant from Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation is helping provide dental care to people with disabilities supported by Wayzata-based nonprofit Hammer Residences.

The Sun Sailor shares the story of how the grant helped Gabe, who lives in one of the nonprofit’s residential care homes, receive treatment for a root canal.

Developer’s plan for riverfront would change Saint Paul skyline

Saint Paul’s riverfront is ready again for a rebirth. Ramsey County entered into a preliminary agreement with AECOM to develop Riverfront Properties, a five-acre vacant site on the downtown riverbank between the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Intercontinental Hotel.

Developer AECOM’s vision for the site includes four proposed buildings, as well as a cover over Shepard Road and the railroad line along the river, to directly connect downtown to the river upstream from the Wabasha Street bridge.

It’ll be a Holly Dolly Christmas in Saint Paul as Parton premieres a new holiday musical

Dolly Parton premiered her new musical “Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol” this month at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul. With songs written by Parton, the musical reimagines the Charles Dickens’ holiday classic in Depression-era Tennessee, where coal mine owner Ebenezer Scrooge’s penny pinching leads to Christmas visits from ghosts who teach him the meaning of the holiday.
