Funding philanthropy through cryptocurrency

In a first, the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations recently worked with a donor to accept a bitcoin donation. The use of the cryptocurrency required research, new policies and discussions with the board’s Investment Committee. The practice is still unusual in our region but expected to grow. Jeremy Wells and Christine Searson from the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations and Dave Wahlsted, the foundations’ first cryptocurrency donor, outline the best practices and lessons learned in a guest column for Twin Cities Business magazine.

Andrew Hasek joins Goff Public’s government relations team

Join us in welcoming Andrew Hasek, our new account executive on our government relations team. Andrew comes to Goff Public from the Minnesota House of Representatives, where he has been a researcher, committee administrator, and committee legislative assistant on education and tax issues.

He was a field director for Congressman Erik Paulsen’s 2014 campaign and holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics from the University of St. Thomas. Andrew hails from southern Minnesota and enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and watching NFL football.
