Goff Public presents at the National Conference of State Legislatures

Goff Public was a featured presenter at the nation’s largest gathering of legislators and legislative staff in August. Nearly 7,000 legislators and their staffers converged on Minneapolis for the 2014 Legislative Summit, hosted by the National Conference of State Legislatures. Goff Public’s Elizabeth Emerson, Chris Duffy, and Clarise Tushie-Lessard led a presentation called “Managing Your Online Image,” offering tips to help legislators build and improve their online images.

Project Green Fleet announces new initiative

After improving engines in more than 3,200 Minnesota school buses, Environmental Initiative announced the expansion of its successful Project Green Fleet program, this time aiming to lower emissions from diesel-powered construction vehicles across the state. The project’s goal is to retrofit or replace engines in more than 100 diesel construction vehicles in Minnesota.  Flint Hills Resources was the founding sponsor of Project Green Fleet, which in the past nine years has reduced school bus pollution equal to removing 750,000 cars from Minnesota roads. Working behind the scenes to help pass an important state law

Our recent pro bono work with the Minnesota Innocence Project is a great case study on the benefits of combining government relations and public relations services to support the overarching goal of passing a new state law. We are proud to have worked with this organization in its effort to pass a compensation statute for Minnesotans imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. After two years of hard work, the bill was signed into law last month.
