Goff gives and climbs

The Goff Gives Team was all smiles before climbing 31 flights of stairs to support the American Lung Association on Saturday, February 22. With help from many of our Goff Public clients and friends, our team raised $3,615, which will benefit people with lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, and lung cancer.

 

Ramsey County STEAM initiative featured on KARE 11

Our client Ramsey County has been working with Chippewa Middle School on a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) project related to efforts to redevelop the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant. KARE 11’s Kim Insley visited the classroom in February to film a “Cool in School” segment about the students’ participation in a real-life master planning exercise.

Social news: Expanding the impact of media coverage

In the domain of media relations, there are few better feelings than generating exceptional news coverage on behalf of a client; that’s why pitching stories to reporters is one of our bread-and-butter services here at Goff Public. After a great story hits the public eye, the natural reaction is to say, Well that was fun, and move on to the next project. But this response results in a missed opportunity. Because we live in a world of digital sharing, we challenge our clients to think about media coverage as a promotional piece that lasts long after the story hits.
